Shell Arc of a Zao shooting within 5km

actually if you go watch jingles video, they aren't as overpowered as you think they are. granted though the tier 10's torpedoes are ubar scary! They can sink a yamato in 1 good placed salvo!

The Shimekaze shows that long range stealth Torps are garbage, these faster then light close range Torps are the real menace lol no need to get 2km to land Torps and with the speed to get out of dodge? Yep Russian DDs will have better Torps and better guns than anything that's in game right now

He barely talks about each ship. He goes over some stats in the port with some upgrades and that's it. 

 

We have all seen the videos of the Tier 10 RU DD wrecking anything that doesn't fly and a 30 second preview from Jingles is not gonna change that. 

 

The RU DDs need balance changes and hopefully WG sees the data and does so.

This! and if you're coming form the American line, you will most likely be used to short range launching combat for torpedoes making these things very dangerous!  Usage of islands will be the tactic of choice for the first 3 tiers if I were to guess, however once you get to tier 5 and the ships get faster, making the Russians 1 of not the best DDs for scouting operations!

Yeah Good luck with WG nerfing Russian ships, you got a better chance of throwing your boxers through a cement wall than for them to "balance" a Russian unit so its on equal footing as other nations!

The second battle in that, where he's murdering 2 Tirpitz drivers with 100% impunity, the 2nd Tirpitz drive, Brofisticus, is a pretty damn good BB driver and he has only one option in this battle, and that option is to die.

There are nine freaking other ships before tier ten, how do you think they will perform?

didn't I say the first 3 were pretty poor? and the ships don't really start getting good until after tier 5?

Some will be very OP. T7 and up, all 40 + knots with extremely good guns, small variances in range and detect.

 

People can read, people can watch, people can form opinions. Decently intelligent people with average experience at the game can see what works and what does not. RU DDs going to be awesome as a whole, T10 being crazy. German cruisers going to be bad as a whole with T10 being garbage. We have seen these ships being played a lot, seen the stats. Unless the make drastic changes, what you see is what we get.

Not only are they incredibly dangerous to existing ships, they seem tailor made to wreck the new German cruiser line.. fat, slow ships with crazy high visibility at high tier..... and very, very weak guns.

 

Everyone should play Russian DDs. Let's go all in.

The torpedoes are terrible on the tier 10.

 

they do 20,000 damage a hit..... and theres 10 of them..... thats 200,000 potential damage! Yep, they sure do suck

If you find yourself inside the 6km range, and can score any hits with them, they are so slow even in a launch from under 6km, most ships will dodge damn near all of them. Basically, the torps on these DDs are like the torps on an Atlanta. You use your guns to kill things, but if you come around an island and there is a surprise battleship 4km away, shoot the desperation torps to try and not die.

Oh hey isolated BBs gonna get hard countered. Look at that.

 

Also he's only able to stealth fire on the Penascola because for some reason WG gives the Penascola 15km detection range when most cruisers have 10-12. He would not be able to comfortably do that with any other one. Possibly Des Moines.

 

People are overreacting to stealth fire. Gearing had the same exact mechanic back in CBT before nation trait muzzle nerf, with higher DPM. Nobody complained about stealth firing outside of smoke. Gearing still couldn't solo BBs with the guns alone.

I call that broken game mechanic instead of good ship

Shimakaze can do 300,000 damage for 15 torps last time I checked.

 

And Khabarovsk needs to close to 6km and has a torp speed of 53 knots to do it with. Or she can only do 150k at 10km, and 55 knots. Though I do suspect that the ET-46 has good concealment for a torpedo.
