I don't remember your name, but you were in a Furutaka turning to port on the west side of the map. An enemy St. Louis (?) was coming down from the north, on your starboard side. I was in an Isokaze a couple km to your stern and, seeing an opening between you and an island, launched a pair of torps at the St. Louis who shortly thereafter broke course to his port. You then changed direction back to starboard, I tried to warn you (too late), and you took my torps smack in the middle of your starboard side. A rookie mistake on my part and I'm not a rookie. If you see this, many apologies for something that was completely my fault. Moral: Put yourself at risk if need be, not your teammates.

Solves problem. Always check immediate area so you don't hit friendlies. I goofed yesterday and I know better.

I showed you my torpedoes and you went down. If you see this, many apologies for something that was completely my fault. Moral: Put yourself at risk if need be, not your teammates. I can't count how many times this has happened to me, but the one I remember and have replay of is an enemy CC coming at me at 000-degrees, and to his starboard, and to my port was the island; he/she then goes hard to his port (my guns pointed towards island) so I chase him going hard to starboard to bring my guns to bear. Although emerging from the island were two of my team CCs letting go their volleys of torps! Made it out and repaired. Initially I was mad at them, but then became mad at myself for not checking the map, and for the most part bino'd during the engagement (rookie mistake learned early on). Pretty honorable to apologize, even if it was not entirely your fault.

I've lost count how many times I've been cut off by ships so they can yolo right into the heart of the enemy. Really frustrating to have to wait until the [edited]is dead to continue doing damage. Such is life in Random I guess.

Prolly first time in a month or so that's happened. I was in a Hatsuharu and was on Twin Brothers off to the west....i was out in front and went over to the islands. They had an Omaha and Murmansk coming close, so i wanted to set up an ambush. just as i start reversing with the enemy murmansk at about 3km a friendly furutaka crosses right in front of me...like just outside of torp arming range. I was too in the zone to have seen him coming on that, as I was worming between either the Omaha or the Murm spotting me. Just as his bow crossed into my field of view I was already clicking torpedoes....had about a 1 second OH CRAP moment....blap....he ded......to be fair he was at like 10% health.....but yeah...i apologized...he said nothing..... personally it's an unofficial best practice to not cross in front of a DD who's playing ambush island pik-a-boo.......but w.e.
