We need downvotes back

Ever since downvotes have been removed, stupids have been able to post and not be discouraged by mass downvoting. With downvoting gone, what stops them from posting their troll and stupid material? Getting badmouthed totally deters them from posting.  

 

So I want a general community opinion, do you want downvotes back?

Stupid posts are one thing, but people with differing opinions, even valid ones, don't deserve to be downvoted and their rep smashed.

 

I should add I think what we need is better moderation, not down votes, because really it means nothing.

I didn't factor that in, good point. What usually happens is that bad people post bad things and that is what I was thinking of when posting.

Down votes are kinda like pubbie tears.  I keep them both in jars placed under my bed in case I get thirsty in the middle of the night.

When and I think they will return I hope they require a reply explaining why the down vote. More so than up votes they were too often misused and often trolled for. When the DW2 was being added to WoT it was almost impossible to test it because almost everyone was in the top tiers. I got down voted for saying there were too many in the top tiers to be able to test it.
