Shooting while Undetected

How as a Destroyer do you shoot your main guns and still remain undetected without smoke.    I have been in many engagements with DD's that are raining fire down on me and they are completely undetected, all you can see is the tracers coming from the water.

 

Every time I engage with my main guns I am detected instantly.  What is the tactic here ?

Depends on your surface detection range while firing and the firing range of your main guns.

Ive been trying this with Sims but there is always a pesky DD on the other team that has better concealment then me lurking around in front of the enemy fleet so I'm always getting detected...that and it is hard to hit at the range needed to invisi-fire in the Sims with its floaty shell trajectory.

Soviet Russia Gremmy is the best DD in the game for this.....14.2k range and there is nothing better than harassing Clevlands and the other long range cruisers into making fatal mistakes when they try to hunt you down. 2500dmg AP rounds......you can't ignore Stronk Soviet Russia DD guns on Gremmy.

Situational Awareness is that like a bot. Because if you're in the ship's visibility 6km range for most,  you should be seen So the video I watch is full of bull on facts it is a flaw.

So basically at lower lvls of play we have snot nosed brats playing well below their skill levels ruining everyone's chances of getting to tier 5 lvl skills sets, and caling every body NOOBS moron etc etc oh yes 'crybaby'

Fact is they are cheaters and just plain ignorant brats
