Until about the last half of the game, the game's running pretty smoothly, at about 76-80 FPS with like no ping. But for some reason, the game goes all choppy, with a ton of lag, and runs at less than 10 FPS, with around 47 ping. An enemy BB driver reported he was running 2 FPS at 990 ping. This happened across the board in our game, and didn't stop until your ship was sunk, which brought levels back to normal. Any thoughts or similar happenings lately? Thanks for your input. -Kitakami_
1,466 [KTKM] IKU19 Beta Testers 4,633 posts 4,076 battles Report post #2 Posted October 4, 2015 It's a bug, exists since CAT across a wide range of systems. It has been happening less and less since CBT though. I feel like it's related to a packet (or something) being corrupted, resulting in the game going down a rabbit hole of bad render calls until it switches it's context (or so it seems, I don't know how the engine behaves so I couldn't really tell you, educated guesses yay). It's particularly hard to debug this issue since there is no clear way to repeat it, but I am fairly certain the devs are aware of this issue.

It seems to happen irregularly and it happens to me when I'm zooming in and out on the target. It's some kind of video glitch and happens whether I have mods in or not. I go from 76 FPS and 36 ping to 10 FPS and 36 ping. The moment you die, it's like it never happened and the game goes back to running smooth.
