Magic Fighters

I have no other idea what to call these other than magic. Langley vs Langley, fighters vs fighters, ad my squadrons are getting absolutely eviscerated. I might as well be throwing them at a tier 6 carriers planes. And I have absolutely no way of explaining it and it's really starting to tick me off. The first couple times, I thought it was just guys that had upgrades or modernizations I didn't have. Checked, had them, so maybe it was the dogfight skill, got that now, still the same issue and there s no way 5% survivability should be the difference in me losing 6 planes and another Langley losing 0, when hes fighting my fighters over 3 cruisers firing AA at them.

 

Am I the only one encountering nonsense like this? Anyone got an explanation for it? Because the only other time I saw stomps like this in past versions was lower tier vs higher tier (which is still horrifically imbalanced it seems).

Screenshots and replays are the only way to call it to the developers' attention. You need those to prove it's a bug and get it fixed.

How often is this happening?  If it's just one occurrence, then it's just RNG.  If it's happening multiple times, then maybe it is a problem.

Are you initiating the attack? If their fighters have an attack order and your are just flying along, they get an attack bonus. If you are flying straight at him and the two of you are intercepting head to head, he might be using the manual fighter attack mode. At the moment the name of it fails me, but its done by holding the ALT button. I've wiped out higher tier fighter squads doing that with zero loses.

Yeah, I think if you click on the enemy fighters and order yours to attack, you get bonus damage.
