Lets say I have a commander in my Wyoming battleship that has a lot of skill. If I move him up to the new york and pay to have him at 100%, will I have to pay if I move him back to the Wyoming will he have to be retrained even though he was at 100% before?

However, if you take that New York commander and put him in a Arkansas Beta(or a Albany or a Marblehead), you won't have to retrain him.

If you have a captain in any researchable, free ship and move him to any other researchable, free ship of that same nation you have to retrain him. He'll lose his training for the ship he came out of.

If you have a captain in any researchable, free ship and move him to a premium ship of that same nation you don't need to retrain him, and you can move him back again without penalty.

Bummer. I don't get why a single commander can't have skill for several tiers of ships. Once trained he should retrain that skill in my opinion. Come on WG. Help us out here.

I know what you're saying. A human naval officer who commands a destroyer and gets promoted to command a battleship doesn't lose his memories once taking command of a new ship but, hey... It's Wargaming.

Said captain will lose his PRIMARY skillset for the destroyer. But he'll still be able to come back to his destroyer and preform.
