- * I'm cross sharing this mod as new players are not aware of the Wows forum Reddit community which sees alot of content*

There is a mod created by Pro7tip on the Wows Reddit forums that just edits the game files to adjust the in-game wave action. The gale- force white caps look pretty good and it doesn't affect crosshair aim nor ship handling. The file is available in his comments (ACoyInterruption) on the site. (Extract and drop into res-mods folder).  His vid:

Edit : Works (tested) on BigRace/FaultLine/HotSpot/2Bro's/Strait and Solomon now but seems to be dependent on *where* on the map you're located.

That is Awesome! I told WG in my CBT pole that they need bigger waves. Can you send me a PM with the link to get the Wave Mode.

Thanks

The mod works in Big race but seems to depend on where in the map your located - almost on the angle of view not sure. Didn't see any diff on the North map. Works on many others though. There's the link the download is in his comments. ( ACoyInterruption)

Wow that looks fantastic!

It seems to fit in nicely with the settings he has it at. I think if it were to be increased more there would alot of graphical glitching/overlap - especially concerning destroyers.

That is really fricking cool looking, REALLY hope WG adds something like this in game, but with a little bit of ocean spray coming up over the bow every now and again, just to give it a little bit more awesomeness. :)

Thanks for the heads up about it OP, freaking awesome! :)

When will we have this? Any eta?

It's a player made mod made by another on the Reddit forums. I'm just sharing the link here for new players to the game. The download is in the reddit link in my OP. No idea if WG plans on adding waves but a supertester has said they're looking at weather effects for the future.

WG needs to fire some of their staff and hire a few of these Moders.   Might actually have a better game in the end.

Devs don't work on what they want. They have a roadmap to follow.

Mods, on the other hand, can do whaterver they want.

The guys who added the waves tuning parameters this has guy changed?

We do not think the game is ready for big waves. For example, not enough visual effects for such stormy weater waves, small destroyers looks weird, no waves/shore interaction effects... Someday.
