Tier 8 New Orleans or Premium Atago?

So I am at a point I have the credits to get the Tier 8 New Orleans Cruiser.  I do not plan on getting more than 1 Tier 8 Cruiser for use and will work on my US DD and BB line. I can buy the Atago Premium Cruiser and be satisfied with that and use my credits for the other lines I'm working on. I don't see myself wanting to get more Tier 8, Tier 9 or 10 vessels due to their playing cost and the skill required to use them.  So my question is do I get the New Orleans or the Atago.  The Atago should make more coin in a match which would help when you just have a bad day but I'm still don't know what the best choice is.  I used the Stats web site for comparison and at face value I think the Atago may offer more fun but I would like to hear from players who have played both.  Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Based on what you have said. Get the Atago or better yet wait a day and get the Tirpitz. At the tier you are  grinding a top money maker is very useful.

Its a BB but you play it like a cruiser.  Without the USN Cruisers AA arsenal.

The Atago is a great tier VIII cruiser, i'm personally awaiting the return of the Kitakami. The Tirpitz is also a great tier VIII but i would hold off from using it the first few weeks lol
