I was wondering  for World of Warships that when is gonna the alpha/beta gonna come out? It said that World of Warships is gonna be released in 2013, and right now it is late 2012. How come the alpha/beta had not come out? P.S. The Q&A didn't show when the alpha/beta is gonna come out; if it did, reply below with the link. Thank you and tell me when it is gonna come. :Smile_glasses::Smile_honoring:

'2013' is rather vague. It could come out New Year's eve 2013...
There are already a million topics about it. Alpha/beta dates are only speculated, and those between February of 2013 and June of 2013.
Thanks, but I need more replies and suggestions!!!! :Smile_unsure:

Read the dev's Q and A threads.  They responded to many of questions asking about dates of beta, and alpha.  They have stated many times, they don't know yet.

Correction, the most likely know when it will be hitting. They just can't say.

Imagine the worst scenario: game is released at Christmas 2013, so beta starts summer 2013.

Each earlier date make you happy...

The question is: how many tech trees and harbour maps do they want to prepare at start.

Now the Japs/US tech tree are not completed yet.

Why are people always assuming beta is the only thing that means testing!! It starts off in alpha testing first!!!!!!!

Don't forget they said the Alpha won't be running that long and the closed beta will come right behind it.  So if we here some kind of date for the beta the alpha should be a little before it but not that long.

Maybe some answer why do you want to play this game at alpha/beta stage?
In an ideal situation:
Alpha: people who want to help make this a better game.
Beta: people who want to help find bugs and people who want to preview the game

In a more realistic situation:
Alpha and Beta: mostly people who want to preview the game and some who want to help make it better.

I want to be in alpha to help make this game better, that way later on it will be hard for me to nerd rage because I had a (small) role in making it what it is. Fingers crossed for Q1 2013!

Oi, if I get recognized properly I'll back up my few words with sheer skill.  Both of you will be put on the bottom of the ocean by a combined attack from dive bombers and torpedo planes XD

I figure that it will take a year after Warplanes' release, at best. Based on the Q&A, with each ship taking 3 months to make, I imagine they take three times longer to balance than the planes, too. Maybe that's really worst case, since they are limiting the game to two factions, US and Japan, probably in order to keep testing to a similar level as with Warplanes' testing.

From the developers' names in both WoWP, and WoWS, I believe it is (at least) partially different teams.

Actually, they are completely different studios:

WoWp is developed by Persha studios from Ukraine
WoWs is developed by Lesta studios from Russia.

That's unfortunate.  I have a keen interest in this game, but a forum troll i'm not.  I'd hate to be excluded because i fall in the camp of not having to post every errant thought that happens to cross my mind.

Warships (without submarines) are more easy to ballance than planes (f.e. with climbing speed).

At second side warships are more detailed than planes or tanks...

Yeah, can't help but feel a little sorry for the guy whos gonna have to handle all that, what with all the subsystems, weapon trajectories, etc to factor into balance calculations.

I would hazard a guess that post count really isn't a criteria, or at least not a major one. Then again, I could be wrong.
