Expectations on Going Live

With all the hype of the game going live on Thursday, I'm wondering what people are expecting, what they hope to see, etc. 

 

For me, I know the Tirpitz is coming and that is something I have been wanting to get, although price will be a factor. Otherwise I'm unsure the game itself will have any real substantial change in being "released" I still think OBT was essentially a soft release and that nothing substantial will change later this week other than whatever promotions they offer in the gift shop.

 

My hope is that they can make some adjustments with RNG and/or shot placement (making it a little more realistic for BB's especially), give some real love to the Sims and Yubari (not looking for OP, but seriously these suck at their own tier level and frankly are a bit of a slap in the face of those who have invested in the development of the game to get it started), create a mandatory tutorial for new players that focuses on the role of the classes of ships in the game and team work and some missions that are actually more rounded for every class of ship.

my expectation are similar to yours OP. we are essentially in release now in all ways except officially. i dont expect a huge surge of new players since anyone who knows about WG titles probably already knows about WoWS and is probably already playing. i expect lots of hype, some more events, and hopefully some discounts on some stuff. i could really use some garage slots.

 

i also expect lots of tirputz's at T8 being useless just like the atago when it went on sale...ill be grinding a few mid tier lines for a while.

there is a substantiated rumor of some unforeseen tree being added - or is it just gonna be a branch - no further information has been forthcoming

No change at all. Anyone interested in playing is already playing. Just the normal influx of new players over time as older ones drop. Very small spike, with small decline after.

I think it is possible that there might be some changes in the client for the Port - stuff that doesn't have to be tested in battles.  Of course, we haven't seen anything posted about it, but it's still three days away.

 

Obviously there's a few players who'd like to see some changes (did you say something about division chat, Tomoko?).  For me, I'd like to see some option to shuffle free XP from elited ships into something besides just letting it ball up on the ship.

Hmmm Yeah Tirpocalypse for sure with me right in the mix. I except we will see some nice specials, Ranked battles will get going. I would not be surprised if there are a number of new ships as well.

I'm kinda expecting a new line of something. And a ton of awesome updates that didn't need "balance tested". Like game features that are lacking.

 

However what we prolly will get is a 50+$ ship.

I for see lots of torps are OP threads and a good bit of screaming about HE  Really it will just be more of what we have now while the patches will enforce to much national flavor.
