Myoko is love, cant wait til ranked matches

it can lit up BB's with ease and can demolish CA's all day, i had the most balanced selection of ammo which lead to an even amount of fires and citadels.

How did you guys find the transition to the slower firing, slower rotating guns? I was just looking at the Myoko debating on whether I should bother upgrading my Aoba, and the guns had me a little worried. They look rather un-cruiser-like...other than doing the same damage as the Aobs, they under-perform in every other aspect (well, other than the fact that there is more of them). I get the impression you have to play the Myoko a lot like a BB? With that in mind, how does it handle/turn?

The speed and turning of the Myoko is amazing, she's a big heavy cruiser but handles like a fast light cruiser.

Make sure you get the rudder upgrade though......it works really well with Myoko's speed.

 

Myoko is superior in every way......... powerful, accurate guns and the torpedoes are OP........... it's only weakness is it's slow main turret rotation.

She's meant to be played aggressively but can fill any cruiser role very well..........don't play it like a Battleship.

I play mine somewhat like a BB, but you can brawl DD's and CA's all day too.  Dodging torps, spamming HE at DDs... citadels with AP on CA's... This ship has no downside, as far as I can tell.  The guns are a bit slow, but you have a LOT of them and they hit hard.  4x3 torps too!  I loved my Myoko, even before I got it fully upgraded.  It's like Aoba++.

Currently at Aoba, which I like but can't wait to grind to Myoko (and Mogami).

 

[Later update]: got Myoko. Much better than Aoba at first sight. Did my first 3 battles and still not fully upgraded, but what impressed me besides the gun layout and quantity, is that even stock it is very usable before you get to purchase the upgrades (unlike some BBs I know).
