Wow what a difference 10 seconds shaved from the reload time and 10 km torpedos do for this thing now. It is actually a good ship now.  Add into that the extra fire chance because of the 200-203 IJN buff and it really performs well.

The only thing I take issue with on the furutaka now is that it is severely out-ranged by cruisers with smaller faster guns on the USN side at the T4-6. I think Omaha and Phx just need a little range nerf. Also it still has a huge citadel hitbox.

Furu was always outranged by Phoenix/Omaha's even pre-4.1. At least now it's got faster reload and gun traverse speeds.

Omaha and Phoenix doesn't need range nerf, Furu's plenty powerful now... even pre-4.1 I was annihilating Phoenix's with ease, just switch to AP and aim for their citadels, rack up 6000+ damage per shot. Furu's guns are accurate enough that it is possible to one shot a Phoenix with full health, I used to two-shot them all the time pre-4.1.

In regards to the giant citadels on the Furu, you'll just have to get used to it, don't give your full broadsides on BBs or other cruisers T5 and up, that weakness is persistent through the IJN cruiser line.
