You might not know that you can reverse a mistake you made in Port

I just wanted to mention to everyone here about the fairly new WG policies regarding restoring vehicles you might have sold and exceptions to mistakes made in your port.

I've always known about a policy they had over at WoT where you used to be able to restore one vehicle that you might have sold by accident or in a fit of rage.  Well, it seems they expanded those policies quite a bit and they apply to World of Warships now as well, according to some support action I am currently having done.  I was so frustrated with my pre-order Sims that i sold it several weeks ago and used the credits to finance another tree.  But with the changes coming to it tomorrow, I had second thoughts, so I am now getting it returned.

In case anyone is interested in this policy, here is the Knowledge Base Article....

(Note: they mainly talk about tanks, but all this applies to WoWS as well, according to the CSR I am dealing with right now)

What are Exceptions and How Do They Work?

I SERIOUSLY read that as "Unwanted porn action"

Same here. My vision and brain has been messed up and asleep today, not normal.

Ok, for all those people who are doing way to many things on their computers... I have changed the thread title.  Shouldn't trigger any suppressed feelings anymore :)

Didn't mean to have my bad eyes cause harm.

Anyway, I might send a ticket in to get my Hosho back. I've rage sold it twice because most CV rounds I've had are just frustrating.

It's great that you're highlighting this, but to prevent unwanted port actions, never sell a premium ship.  Ever.  They get given away frequently, and it's free doubloons if you already have it.  If you don't like it, no problem, just don't play it.  But never sell it.

I've sold 4 premium ships, including my Atago.  Why?   Cause battleships are expensive

About how long does it typically take for a response?

In WoT, the whole thing usually took 2 or 3 days.  They ask you first to make sure you have a port slot free and enough credits for the sell-back.   I put my ticket in yesterday and got the first response today. Expecting them to do the transaction some time tomorrow as I already told them go ahead, take the coin and I have free slots.

Alright, thanks. I put mine in to get my Warspite back a few hours ago and haven't gotten a response yet. Hopefully there will be something in the morning. :P

It took a few days for me to get back my Arkansas Beta, which I sold by accident.  In the request you have to say you want tk use one of your exceptions, so they know you understand the new policy.

I would only use it for items that are no longer available or have to be purchased with real money.  I wouldn't bother with a ship I could buy back for credits.

If you have more than one premium ship that you've sold and want back, you can request to get them all on the same ticket thereby using only one of your four yearly exceptions. I didn't know that when I requested to get my Arkansas Beta and Albany back and the reason I sent two tickets was because I didn't have any battles in my Albany at the time and didn't think that I would be able to recover her with no battles played. The WG employee taking care of my Albany ticket told me that I could have put the request for her return with my Arkansas ticket and saved one exception.
