I have been scrolling with my mouse wheel to get the target view for aiming, then holding down my right mouse button to quickly get a ship view. When I let up on the right mouse button, it will immediately go back to target view. All that's okay, but I keep finding myself running aground or doing something else stupid because I have not paid enough attention to where my ship is going and became fixated on a target. What have you found to be the best way to keep an eye on ship navigation, then quickly go to target view? It really is aggravating me to keep making the same mistakes over and over. Obviously, I am doing something wrong.

At the start of the match I mouse wheel zoom all the way out, then use shift to get into bino to insure I am zoomed in bino's to where I need to be, then use shift to change between the two views. Is left shift a toggle, or do I need to hold it down?

You'll rarely need the mouse button..so much faster and efficient.

Notably the paragraphs found early on called Overview Mode and Quick Zoom Artist. Wow - this is very helpful. Will take the time to read through everything and learn what I've been missing. Thanks for sharing that link and for taking the time to prepare all that information.
