So, I noticed odd behavior after noticing supremacy did work.

 

What we know: it does technically work. You do get 2 fighters with your first scout launch!

 

There's a HUGE caveat. Cruisers only carry 3 craft. And they never recover them properly, from what I can tell. A single scout squadron wipe would guarantee you'd only have one scout remaining. Not worth.

 

 

So, this is what happens.

 

1st Launch - 2 fighters.

2nd Launch - 1 fighter.

3rd Launch - 0 fighters.

4th Launch (With Superintendent) - 0 fighters.

 

Do not, do not, do not invest in this skill! Make these 725 doubloons sacrificed not be in vain!

wait wot i used it on my atago i could launch 6 over the 3 consumable

well launched 4 only could use 2 consumable per game

I ended up with 1 scout launched on my second use, and none on my third. Sure, it is possible that the aircraft are recovered, but the likelihood of that happening in a high-tier game is miniscule against any T9/10 squads. Basically, once you lose those 2 planes, you're down to your last plane already.

Actually that doesn't sound that bad.

 

I don't automatically launch fighters.  I wait until I am threatened by enemy planes so being able to put up double fighters at that point might be well worth it.

 

By the time my 2nd fighter rolls around the game has dramatically diminished and it's not such of an issue.

 

But that early game might well be worth it.

Sure that's a bug?

 

If they're getting shot down, they're getting shot down. You only have 3 planes and 4 launches.

If that's the case, then they're recovered if not shot down.

nice find, let @alsorobots know, and of course, edit the video to since only 30 seconds are needed to illustrate the bug  when the cool-down is finished

 

 

unless of course, it allows 4 launches with your 3 planes... maybe do one where the planes are recovered and see if you still get 4 double launches - in the name of science

 

re-reading this I understand.. it works great for carriers, I had it in closed beta, you get flights of 7 planes for americans.. but of course you don't get extra planes in the ship...

not something I would spend gold on for recon or floater fighters..

That being said, the commander ability itself works as intended, since, after all, it doesn't change anything about the number of planes in the reserve squadron.

[There is that, when you get your squadrons killed, it should remove charges.]

...of course, Cruisers aren't Carriers, so it's weird.

 

The Skill is right, the consumable is wigged.
