Do I fire HE now at cruisers? Im noticing my AP is overpenning alot on cruisers like the Atago and Atlanta.

I find 18 inch AP obliterates Atagos quite efficiently.

Shoot AP under the smoke stack is still the best way to erase those ships, have your secondary(hopefully upgraded with 10km range) focus on them as well. If you are overpenning then your shell landed too high on that ship(as angling shouldn't do much with 18" shell overmatching most cruiser armor), aim lower.

It would depend on the situation. If there's an enemy battleship nearby, no because you need to have AP in the process of loading if not loaded when that BB comes into firing range/view. If there's only cruisers that can fire at you, yes you could. Or you can take the gamble and spam AP like a majority of players.

Its a bit tougher on atagos... but alright. Ill give it a shot. I just seem to overpen alot haha
