So I ended up not being able to repair my recently bought Essex, so I had to resort to noobery and play the Cleveland. Enemy Cleveland fires at me from range, sets me on fire. I hit damage control. Then the next salvo after my DC goes into cooldown, I get two simultaneous fires!!!

 

Then, a Wyoming seems to get two citadel hits on me!!! At this point I barely manage to keep myself together and not fire upon the nearest friendly ship out of rage. Like, seriously!! I've never been able to citadel a Cleveland! Yet, almost every game some BB manages to citadel me, and this time it was a lower tier BB, for two mother ****ing citadels!!!!!!

Maybe not be broadside to a BB in a cruiser? Just because the Wyoming is a tier 4 doesn't mean she can't wreck a Cleveland. She still has 12" guns that punch right through the Cleveland's armor. Oh and Inb4 next post you make about how the game is screwing you.

OP don't worry the Essex is a fine ship, just the usual jitters when once starts with a new ship! Good luck!

Wow, new game with my Cleveland. I at least manage to destroy an Aoba and Phoenix mostly on my own, but then another Wyoming manages to strike my citadel again, putting me from half health to nearly dead. Like, FML. Bad luck just follows me around everywhere.

well hopefully it gets better for you OP, i discovered the cleveland citadel spot by accident a few weeks back in my warspite, best thing ever when 2 citadels in one 2 turret salvo leaves em at lik 4k HP lol

This is a no sulking zone! And I always manage to get citted in my clevelands but can never get a cit when shooting one

Over the last 24 hours I have gotten about 9-10 citadel hits on Clevelands in my New York. I don't know if it's just a placebo effect but ever since I saw someone post a picture on the forum of a cross section of the Cleveland I feel like I can actually hit that once in a while.
