Recent Massive Lag Spikes

I've been playing now for probably close to a month and have had very decent framerate and latency the entire time.  I can load into matches quite early and haven't had any real debilitating gameplay issues besides the instacrash when toggling between torps and guns in the minekaze.  The past two days for whatever reason the maps are loading extremely slow and the game will drop to 1 FPS, sound get choppy, and lag pop-up on top shows up.  It's made the game unplayable.

 

I'm not experiencing this on any other games on my system, so I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing, or has experienced something similar or knows whats causing it.

Been having this issue since open beta release myself... did not happen before.

had it 4 times yesterday.

game runs fine  then suddenly FPS drops from 30 to 3 (players from the other team said have the same).

only solution was close the game and reopen it (looked like a memory leak). at least 4 players on the match had to  do that to manage to end the match.

and even then after 2-3 minutes the FPS dropped from 35-50 to 3 again.

yeah, thought maybe my video card took a crap so swapped it out, but nothing there...  Not sure what the issue is, but it's bad.

Well, as an update if anyone else has it... I'm thinking it may have been the new AMD driver pack.  I did a system restore to Friday (before I started having lag issues).  I'm still getting a semi-slow load time, but the FPS issues have been resolved.

To be honest I've been getting them ever since the stress tests just before OBT and I have had several drivers for my nVidia card installed but none of them fixed the issue. Shoot even tried to downgrade my graphics settings and the same issue.

i don't think is a driver issue. i'm using the v341.74 Nvidia driver here on a 9800gt and still got it sometimes.

Bad news, it's not recent. It's been happening since CB and I expect someone from Alpha would say it was happening there too.
