I've watched quite a few YouTube videos on credit-earning or money-making ships, but things change in a game that is beta. It seems to me that carriers are making quite a bit in the current patch. I'm wondering if some of you veterans have an opinion. Keep in mind, I'm pretty new and haven't made it past tier IV. I'm honestly a better BB player, and don't have a carrier yet, but I'm interested it saving for one. Thank you.

Since the OBT wipe I haven't gotten back to it but the Hiryuu was a pretty good moneymaker in CBT. From what I hear, any ship that does well around T7~T8 is generally the sweetspot.

I also find the Ishizuchi makes me good chunks of cash... not as good as playing in those middle-high tiers should, but for T4, pretty good.

The best money makers:

  • Any ship you consistently do well in at tier 6/7. Tier 8 is a coin toss. There's a good chance for money loss if you get sunk and don't perform decently while not having premium account. If you have premium account tier 8 is more likely to bring in credits although tier 6 and 7 are probably going to net you more
  • Any premium ship
  • NOT tier 9 and 10. These are designed to make you lose money.

Omaha-class virtually prints money, and with the C-hull getting its range boosted with 4.1 to match the Murmansk (more-or-less), if you throw a high-level Captain into it with the small gun range boost perk you'll be able to kite most opponents for plenty of credits.

My Atlanta does pretty good there is hardly a match that I don't walk away with 2-300k + even with a loss I'm always above 150k so for me its that ship also another vary good ship is the low tier St Louis that thing is a little beast and I use it exclusively to spam he because at that tier its the best round to use in it. Anyhow that's the ones for me and don't beat me up to bad for spamming he . :hiding:

Great suggestions. With my skill level and my captains, I had better stay around the lower tiers for a little while. The Atlanta does look like a beast, but I don't have any captains at that level. The Ishizuchi is an option, though. Warspite looks very interesting, but It's also my understanding that it's unavailable for a while. I do have a fully decked out St. Louis that I could use as well. I'll look at the Omaha-class, too, though it's a level V. I'll have to watch some YouTube videos and see how people are using it. Tips?

From what I'm reading it seems like people are saying:

1. The higher the tier, the more credits, up to about 9 or 10, and then you can actually lose money. wow.

2. Kiting from range is a good way to make credits. I assume it's because you can live through the whole game and just keep racking up the damage.

3. Premium ships, such as the Ishizuchi and Atlanta can make you more money than regular F2P ships, in general.

--If anyone uses the St. Louis to spam HE shells, I'm wondering what kind of payout you usually see in PVP.

--What about the Ishizuchi? With little to no AA, are you a huge target for aircraft?
