Tech Tip: Windows 32bit vs 64bit

I have noticed that some still run 32 bit systems when they can upgrade to 64 for free as long as they have the license key from the sticker on your computer and can run 64 bit on that computer.

With some versions of windows like 7 for instance it limits how much ram u can actually use so even if u have 8gb ram installed it will only allow you to use 3gb in 32 bit.

If you are a gamer, anything less than x64 bit OS is not going to work... Especially since 8GB of ram is pretty much the minimum you want to run these days to make sure you can fit the whole game into RAM and not have to use the pagefile to run the game.. Remember, pagefile slowwwwwww, RAM quick... More ram, less PF... Good rule of thumb.. I run 12 gigs in my gamer and it seems to do ok.. But today I noticed it's got a pagefile, even though I thought I turned that off..
