well what quite annoys BB's and CV's is that all the DD's and all the CA's runs off and leave the capital ships behind unattended without support especially the CA's where their jobs are the most predominant of all if any CV is present

 

I know you cant quite rely on them to screen for you, so by adding Scouting Bonus and Escorting bonus would encourage them to do their jobs :great:

Can't lump all Cruisers into anti air duty. My Aoba for example has upgraded AA of 30. A freaking upgraded Kongo has more AA than that.

Maybe you could grab some of that scouting xp then.

Increased rewards for AA kills is needed across the board.  A good USN carrier with lots of fighters can totally dominate the skies, but gets nothing in rewards because his dive bomber or two is crap for doing any real damage.  It would also encourage cruisers to assist by killing some planes.

Scouting rewards should happen too.  Again, the fighters have a role to play in this aspect, and cruisers/destroyers could prosper from this also.  Risking yourself by being out front so others can take long range shots should be rewarded.

Not saying he's wrong with his ideas, just l can't carpet lump ships like he was. that's all.

I agree.

As a Cruiser captain, I enjoy doing what they are intended to do, screening CVs and BBs, especially lower tier without AA). Once the first couple of waves are decimated, then I screen for DDs. I do not venture far until it is time to get to through the CLs to get to the opposing BBs.

 

Not always works, but I agree it should be rewarded and encouraged.

 

The thing I hate most, as a DD player is not cruisers (Omahas and Clevelands I fear, not hate), but spotting aircraft. Yesterday, I had an early run in a nerfed Minekaze (I nerfed it myself to practice for the new release, by moving to the 7km torps and taking out the cammo). It worked well early when I killed two T3 and T4 cruisers with the faster torps, that is until a smart CV parked a fighter group nearby and illuminated me for an Omaha. No smoke or erratic driving worked, as one shot damaged my engine. You can guess the rest. They would not have seen me or caught up, if not for the fighter illuminating me. Well done CV. He should be rewarded.

It's amazing how many bad CV's I see when playing. I always use my planes to scout whenever I can, especially DD's. I'll escort ally ships and my fighter presence keeps away TB's and TD's.

BB's are the most powerful yet the most vulnerable ship, despite having big guns and armor it doesnt even stand a chance against DD's and TB so escort is must for them
