Fighter Dive Escape

One thing that I have found rather frustrating about CVs is how your fighters get stuck when attacked by a group of enemy fights, as I'm sure plenty of people have pointed out. This may just be a glitch or something, but I was thinking they should have an escape ability, where they can dive to get away from the attacking aircraft. Then the ability would have a cool down as the fighters regain their altitude again, leaving them vulnerable to attack from another group of fighters because they've lost all their energy while attempting to climb again. Just something that would add a little more of the dynamics that are involved in fighter combat, making it a bit more interesting than it already is.

This isn't quite related, but being able to choose the fuse for the bombs on your dive bombers would be another nice touch. Longer fuse for heavy armor so the bombs penetrate the deck armor and explode inside the ship with the possibility of a citadel hit, instead of the bomb just detonating on the deck. But if you were to use the same fuse on a destroyer the bomb would just go right through the ship without exploding, something extra to consider when you're reloading your dive bombers. You wouldn't be able to change the fuse once in the air, it would be a case of changing them while the planes are reloading once they've landed.

I think the fighters getting stuck isn't a glitch but a feature. It's why you have fighters escort bombers, to tie up the enemy fighters so the bombers can get through.

Planes being attacked by other planes slow each other down. It is a feature.
