After briefly scanning a few other threads, I'm afraid I'm repeating what many other users have already said, but...

Hello everyone!  I'm 43, former Army & current card dealer, and I stumbled on to World of Warships after seeing a couple You Tube video gameplays.  I'd also given World of Tanks a shot a couple years back, but the game never grew on me & I uninstalled after a few attempts.  I grew up fascinated by naval warfare in the world war 2 era, in particular the Pacific war...to the point where my high school history teacher actually gave up and let me teach the unit on that conflict. :)

After around 150 battles in the open beta I can say that I thoroughly enjoy the game.  It has enough in common with the FPS games I've played in the past to be intuitive to me, but unlike those the mechanics and tactics in use in World of Warships make it possible for an old fart like me to compete on the same level as a 12 year-old hopped up on red bulls & five hour energys.

Looking forward to meeting you all on the high seas, at least so long as you don't torp me when I'm on your team. :p

Hello I been a fan of wargaming's games for a while now. I Just started playing World of warships not too long ago. Really fun looking forward to all the rad stuff being added. Also you have a right to be afraid of torpedos. When I get torpedoed it's bad they don't mix with big heavy ships well. :D
