One player from the enemy team replied back with 'Sick [edited]'. That was uncalled for and I decided to 'reply in kind' and he continued on rambling about how he was a friend to the U.S and yadda yadda. The interesting part, I tried looking for his nickname after the match yet couldn't find it (|\/|xxxe -- triple x'es are censor) Just last week I 'replied in kind' to a poster on the forum who made reference to the use of drug and received warning message from moderator while I think he got away with his posting being censored. I just want to say that when there is provocation, penalty should be made void and any offending posts be censored and any in game report made void. You know I''m not Jesus Christ. You give me crapI'll reply in kind.

I once commented on how the Murmansk and Cleveland aren't OP, and I recieved "f you fanboy", "shut up mother[edited]" and such from probably half of the 23 other players. I don't know where stupidity like this comes from. I really don't. Edited August 17, 2015 by ShermanMedium

No on cares about your thoughts about anything not related to the battle at hand. If you want better responses, use your head for something other than a brain holder, and keep your chatter related to the match. Come here to post about your 'This is OP and that's UnderP and my boat needs a bath ' and all that. In-game you are just wasting valuable tactics time with blah blah. I get it, you were B-hurt by the bad bad text raping your eyes, but you should really know better by now. *edit, not to mention(speaking about the lag), but he could have been replying to a teammate, and forgot to hit Tab to get back to team chat, you assume it was pointed at you personally or, he could have been saying in short terms "it's sick xxxxx" Edited August 17, 2015 by ntp_ntp

328 [SWOB] K538 [SWOB] Alpha Tester 1,147 posts 6,651 battles Report post #13 Posted August 17, 2015 Yeah, I'm quite happy that there is a penalty to both sides, since escalation never solves anything in a video game on a web forum. That said, I will sometimes shut somebody down when they're just being racist or sexist because I feel like if nobody speaks up it's more or less the same as condoning the behavior. But when taunted, I almost always ignore it unless it's good natured. Just last night I got called out by somebody who claimed that I was camping at the base and who sarcastically "thanked" me for all my help. I did respond and pointed out that he must have missed what I was up to when I ran back through his division to kill a destroyer (too late) that was headed for our carrier and then headed to the cap circle to reset and kill the Cleveland that was there. But I did it politely and didn't rise to the bait. Part of me was actually hoping that he'd realize that what I had done was exactly the correct thing at the moment (as opposed to charging 3-4 battleships from long range with a group of 3 cruisers). Afterward whenever I'm called out, I usually go check a player's profile. Mostly because if the player has a really high win rate then I want to keep that advice I get since they clearly know something I don't, even if I disagree with their tactics. Sadly enough, 9 times out of 10, these are the worst players. So just take some satisfaction that the people who are real chat trolls tend to be angry and medicore at the game. It may well be that they lack the teamwork skills to succeed or it may be that their failures are what causes the frustration, in either case I much prefer to be smug knowing I was right than to get dragged into a mud wrestling contest with a pig. However, it is the internet and there is a ton of anonymity, so you kind of just have to get use to it. Ignore it, that's what I usually do. Normally I just keep my thoughts to myself and try to pass judgment. You are better off that way. I'd like to change the manner of all who speaks what, but I'm not in control of the situation in the first place. Trolling has been around since the 1990's or possibly even before then. It just wasn't as common then, as it is today.

He literally just repeated what he believed in and ignored what I wrote multiple times. There was no debate. He wrote, I replied, he ignored what I wrote and wrote the same thing again and repeat the process. He intentionally avoid discussion to stick to his main point. If a person avoids healthy debate by ignoring provided arguments if you don't call him a fanatic what else would you call him? The same also applies to you, to a lesser extent though, because there were discussions with you when you tried to present your argument on Operation Nasr when I brought it up for the second time after being completely ignored. I see you are still mad about it but it is perfectly fine if we disagree. Edited August 17, 2015 by LifePilgrim

Disgusting disrespectful and completely immature players really....never going back to that game exactly for that reason... Indeed and long before tanks were made a pop culture by WoT I had been playing tank sims and reading books and discussing them on forums. Then people who knew tanks were a lot more smarter about tanks than what WoT has brought. It was really a niche community. I detest WoT community as well. Very much even.
