detection stat?

i have a question....does the detection rage of a ship coincide with the speed of the ship... like if my Wickes is only going half speed am i harder to detect or the same

Detection is unrelated to how easy you are to spot. Concealment range is what you mean, and your answer is no—firing your guns, camouflage paint, islands and smoke are the only things that affect your "spotability," firing and camouflage being the only ones doing it by adjusting your concealment.

Thanks for your answer  the thought hit me when cruising behind an island sneaking up on the other team "hmm if if go slower am i more sneaky"   i searched the forums guess i didnt look hard enough   though probably would have helped if i had the right wording LOL          thanks again
