I have friends on the EU server. I'd like to play with them. How come it's not visible to me?

How can I change to the EU server from the NA server so I can play with some friends?

RU, EU, and NA all have separate clients which each operates on a different set of server(s). You will more than likely need to make another account for the EU client to play on it. You could prob send in a support ticket to have your account transferred to EU but that might take awhile, or might not happen.

A suggestion is to use a different email address to avoid issues particularly if they change the PT to work like the CT's do for WoT and WoWP.

Hello, I an a supertester coordinator for the EU community and I want to let you know with just a little editing (and creating accounts for said regions) you can join other servers with the same client. The only time this fails is when updates are uploaded to the different regions at slightly different times but once all regions are again on the same client version all is ok. Code is below for those that are interested.

  <server online="true">
        <host addr="login.worldofwarships.eu:20020" alias="WOWS EU"/>
        <host addr="login.worldofwarships.com:20020" alias="WoWS NA"/>
        <host addr="login.worldofwarships.ru:20020" alias="WoWS RU"/>
        <host addr="login.worldofwarships.jp:20020" alias="WoWS Asia"/>
        <login>piksel</login>
        <password>login1</password>
    </server>

I hope tis helps those that are interested in 'playing away' :honoring:

Hello Capt, all you need to do to play on the EU server is to open an account there (http://worldofwarships.eu/). You do not need to download any other client. For instance to test I opened accounts both here, RU and Asia and it is fine.

I am assuming you mean super and not alpha testing? Talk to the guys in this community about being referred to be a supertester.

You just create an account on the other server. As I suggested use a different email as using the same can cause issues with the CT servers for WoT and WoWP, the EU/RU account will be the one that is cloned. You can use Ducat's suggestion or just DL the other clients and install them in a different folder from the NA client.

Edit: Ducat beat me to the punch.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

Now I have a new issue. I have downloaded the EU server version. Went to start it up, didn't realize I needed to register my account there as well. No worries, I thought, I'll just stay on the NA servers. Downloaded the NA version again, installed it, and now it's showing only the EU servers.

Now I'm stuck in Limbo.  So I uninstalled the game entirely. Then went to the wargaming.net website, and RE-downloaded the NA a version (as far as I know). It still shows the EU servers.

Now what do I do?

Might I suggest instead of downloading two clients you just download this http://www.mediafire.com/download/jvcnxp63chd6bvu/Aslains_WoWs_ModPack_Installer_v.0.4.9_040.exe

You dont have to use all the mods but at the very bottom there is a mod that allows you to use ONE client and just change from NA to EU or other servers at the login screen. All you have to do then is enter the correct email and pw and have fun. Hope this helps.

Rebeldad, can you please tell me where and how to do this change from the EU to the NA servers via that ModPak?

I got the ModPak, but I don't see how to change servers with it.

Thanks.

Edit: I may not need the help. I found the clickable Region Changer.

I know... I used to play War Thunder and still do from time to time and the separation of servers in War Gaming games is a HUUUUUGE problem for me... Almost all my friends are from the EU or RU... Guess i'll have to play alone. No idea why the servers aren't combined like War Thunder and have the option to pick the servers MM looks for so you can queue for US, EU, and RU or just US or EU ect. Get with the times War Gaming.

They are two different accounts so no you cant use your NA ships on the EU server. Wish we could believe me.

They are two different accounts because that's the way they've made it. They could unify accounts they just choose not to. They can transfer accounts, they just choose not to. Just WGing being backward as usual.
