SLOW LOADUP TIMES

Hi everyone,

I am really enjoying WoW with one exception.

My loadup times into a battle are way too long, around 5 minutes from me clicking on the battle button untill actually being able to play.

By that time the battle is well and truly underway and sometimes I've even had damaged inflicted.

I am ALWAYS last to the battle and frequently lose connection.

I also play WoT as well without these issues. I have my graphics draw set down and all the other settings are on medium as well as setting the exec to high priority with process lasso. I also use Advanced system care to defrag the game.

Is anyone else having these problems and are there any fixes I can apply?

Drive slow and enjoy the scenery - drive fast and join the scenery.

First do all your windows updates and cleaning your computer,, reset router as well.  I recommend Razor Game Accelorator.  From there look at your internet speed upload and download as you may not have the connection you think you are paying for.

Bad idea. There's nothing a program like that is going to be able to do that you can't do yourself from Task Manager and Computer Management Console and doing it yourself isn't going to add yet another running background process. 

 

Honestly OP it sounds like hardware lag on your part and not network as others suggest. ASC is a great program but keep in mind as freeware it likes to run processes you want to kill as well for performance. I'd recommend running it and fixing your registry, defrag your entire hard drive, clean your RAM and tuning utility to fully optimize your PC and then uninstall it while keeping the installer saved on your drive.

 

If you have an Nvidia card and are using GeForce Experience you will definitely want to disable the Shield streaming service for it as even if your GPU does not support streaming with Shield it runs in the background anyway further limiting performance. A DxDiag log with your full systems specs would also help as you didn't mention anything about your hardware configuration. If you aren't sure how to get this information you just need to hit the Windows key + R and run dxdiag. Click the tab to save all information and it will save it in the form of a txt file on your desktop.

Amazing!!!! (Not really but)

As a last resort to rectify my extra slow loadup problems, I reached deep into my long pockets with my (extra short) arms and took a chance on purchasing some Doublooms and "Bingo" guess what I no longer have any long loading up time problems!!!

Coincedence? maybe so, I'll leave that for you to decide.

Thanks guys for your replies, one other thing I forgot to mention is that I also run disc doctor found in asc and it found a couple of problems, after a restart the game seems to run quicker, still the last in but not by such a large margin.
