I come from a rural area where agriculture is what we are about. I have worked on a farm running farm machinery and raising wheat and corn. Been around trucking all my life as well as its what my father did. I drove over the road for 8 years putting in over 1 million miles. I finished my driving career hauling cattle.

I have been over taken by a autoimmune disease Ankylosing Spondylosis an am now disabled.

I at one time owned my own truck running 4500 miles a week at 1.20 per mile and was the best time I had driving.

Cattle hauling in the mountains of Colorado. Always fun running 90000 lb plus loads in the mountains. takes nerve to haul that heavy in the mountains. Also the thrill and danger of dealing with 1500 to 2200 lb masses of attitude.

Among my interests is Flight simulator which I have been flying on since the orignal FS came out. I have several thousand hours flying in FS anything I could get my hands on.

I am in Colorado. in 1944 my family moved to Colorado and its where I was born. Eastern Colorado not to far from the border. Its been about 6 years since I drove for Werner I wasnt there but for 6 months. Trucking companies are not easy to get along with. I did like my dispatcher there and made good money. I was suffering from this disease and didn't know it at the time. It leaves me in a lot of pain.

An X ray of my neck showing the damage this disease has done to my neck. 5 of the 7 vertebre in my neck are fused and you can see how badly shaped the they all are from it. The neck is normally the last area effected by this and when ones neck is this bad the rest of ones back is alot worse.

Pleased to meet you. Love those Peterbuilt's!

When I was a young lad, a pipeline business owner asked me, "can you drive a truck?". My answer was, yes I can. He asked me the same question two more times. I was puzzled to say the least. Each time, my answer was affirmative. After I took my first assignment and began up that mountain, on a gravel road that was no more than 10' wide, no guardrails, and nothing but air and altitude on one side of me and mountain on the other....I laughed and cursed that man all at the same time under my breath. :D

I was lucky to have to never drive anywhere like that but I started on the family farm and have driven till three years ago. This disease has hit me hard in the last two years and I am done. I cant even ride in a car without it causing me alot of pain.
