Teamkilling Getting Out of Hand

Popping my forum posting cherry to complain about the apparently increasing amount of team killing trolls in matches.  I've only been playing a few days, but now it seems that every third match or so there's a pink ship on our team that goes around torpedoing and blasting teammates.  Does this go unchecked?  Is there any kind of punitive measures against those who feel the need to do this?

 

I like this game, and it certainly has potential, and yes I know I'm new, but this is an issue...

There is measures in place. 

 

If a player does X amount of friendly fire damage in a game, they receive a "pink" name in the following game and any damage they deal to friendly units, they receive a % of that damage back (reflective damage). 

 

If the player continues to damage X amount in that game, they receive a temporary 24hr ban from their account.

It's more due to being in low tiers than anything else.  The trolls either get banned or lose interest before they get to tier 4, so it will decrease rapidly as you progress through the game.  That's not to say there will be a point that you won't ever see another troll in a future match, because this is the internet and there is not application process requiring intelligence to play.  But it will lessen over time, don't let it bother you and keep in mind that the vast majority of players are more adult and very helpful, usually.

I was just in a match with a teamkiller, twice the guy ran me aground, avoiding his torpedo's that never had a chance of reaching the enemy. I watched his torps reach end run just past me, with another 3-4 km to go.... I just couldn't get it into his head that he wasn't shooting at the enemy, he was shooting at me.  He was just convinced he was shooting at the red team.  So tired of people that don't have the faculties to understand basic concepts.  It was so much nicer when they at least tried to filter out the Whear Gaem?  Wear Subz? group.

Haven't had the problem of TK's ever (hope that stays like that). Only TK I've ever been hit with was a stray volley of torps, but that was partly my fault since I accidentally sailed into it heh heh..

I think that team killers should have 150% punishment to damage dealt to ally ships i dont know how many times now ive been playing in my tier 9 ibuki and some idiot in a paid for atago launches 2 full salvos into my back 2 minutes in and i end up loosing 200k+ credits for it how in anyway shape or form is that my fault and why am i the one paying for it? why am i not being fully compensated for it and then some?

Nothing you can do about window lickers.  Just shake your head, send the replay/screenshot to support, and move on.

I havent killed anyone on my team. However you and others made it clear in my thread that this is not a team game. Hence there is no such thing as team killing.

in a pink ship now. i killed a tk'er that was going on killing spree on my team. he was pink as well.

Well with the way half the teams act in this game I can't say that I blame them.

I havent killed anyone on my team. However you and others made it clear in my thread that this is not a team game. Hence there is no such thing as team killing.

I'm so pissed. I was carrying my team in my Amagi got  four citadel off the start. This stupid myoko drives in front of me and says "learn how to drive"...wait since when do cruisers have the right of way? they are more manueverable so I said no watch out. And what does he do? He torps me....little [edited], he didn't even get teamkiller status. I have it on replay I'll get him banned.

Well, I haven't seen anyone turn pink, I have seen team kills.   One thing I have noticed in this game is some of those people who were killed were not paying attention to what their teammates are doing.  I have seen a number of ships ram into others, to turn into friendly torps (unforgivable sin, no excuses), and other team damage "crimes".   It is so easy for you to blame those people who fired say torps.  But you people need to step up your situational awareness.

Now I understand I am asking your to play better.  To be more than just a pew-pewing crybaby.  There is nothing wrong with asking you people to play smarter.

that is exactly the reason i turned pink kuckoo. pinky did that and i remedied the problem.

Its funny I hardly ever see any team killing and Have yet to be killed by anyone unless I stumbled into their torpedoes when they launched at an enemy. I would have to say that there must be another reason you are seeing it and I would have to say after reading some of your forum posts I would venture a guess as why you are getting team killed.

Once, in a Co-op Battle, I put a friendly dieing cruiser/gunboat [Erie] out of her misery with a single shell.

cruisers don't have the right of way, international law of the sea, the bigger ships have right of way, motor gives way to sail (although if a 13 foot sail boat thinks a cruiser liner is gonna give way to them, they're an idiot)
