why demouting upgrades costs doublons?

I discover few days ago that I could mount upgrades for credits, so I did. Now I need to sell my ships to buy the newer ones, and I found that in order to sell the ship I need to dismount the upgrades wich costs doublons, which means that if I want to kept advancing in the game I have to buy them and pay them, so I'm thinking about either creating a new account or stop playing.

You don't need to demount them with gold. There's an option to destroy them for no money return or if you're selling the ship, I believe there's an option to sell the upgrades along with the ship. Demounting with going isn't the only option.

You can also sell them. At least get half your money back.

The reason it costs to demount them is, they can be placed in a reserve and used on other ships without having to buy them again.

 

However there are other options as stated above to demount them.

@OP Don't destroy the upgrades next time if you're just selling the ship, otherwise you're missing out on credits. On the screen where you sell the ship, you can click where the 25 doubloon demounting cost is and switch it to sell the upgrade with the ship and get half the credits back.

Oh yes that's exactly what I meant. No where did I say anything about prem ships or ammo or the price of the subscription none of that. I am not against a business making money. I am just saying that the upgrades taken off with gold or whatever is semi-unnecessary nickle & dimming. But you didn't want to look that far into it did you, you just wanted to sound clever didn't you...  * wink, wink *

They don't force you to buy anything in this game to advance.  They only have options to make your advancement faster and less "grindy"   The only real gold consumable in this game that gives an advantage is the shorter timers on some things like smoke, repairs, etc and the signal flags.   And I expect them to offer a credit option for those eventually, just like they did for all of WoT's gold consumables.  They don't even have gold ammo in this game.

 

Actually, you can already get premium consumables for credits. Just click the doubloon cost and you can switch it to credits.
