Do I loose ship XP and Credits before a battle is over by exiting the battle?

Not sure if this question has been answered yet, but I searched around and found no results. My question is, if you exit a battle early, and the battle is still going, will you get the full XP and Credits?

I have never left a battle while it was still raging and I was still alive so I can't answer for that situation if that is what you were looking for...but if you are dead then all your points have been tallied and will be awarded the same regardless of if you stay or go.
