Battle loading screen increased time with 4.1 Test Server

Hello all,

 

In 0.4.0.5 I pass through the battle loading screen very fast and can press the enter battle button around 26 seconds to battle start time.

 

But in 4.1 I only enter battle after it already started and I never see the enter battle button at all.

 

The game files take a huge time to load, much more than the current OBT game version.

 

Just for information my ping is very good (30-35 ms) and the connection has no lag.

 

Do you have the same issue?

 

It seems the new file structure for 4.1 is not very optimized at all, I smell a lot of compressed files that take a lot of time to decompress.

 

What do you think?

P.S. - Also, after the battle it takes ages to return to harbour view. It is definitely a decompressing issue with the new file system.

welcome to the long loading into match club. Had this problem since 0.3.1 update. before i was loading into the match on time, but now..................

I also loaded in around 30 seconds early before 3.1.  Since then I'm lucky if I load when the timer ends, usually load a minute into the match,

It seems the new file structure that saves 50% disk space is not good...WG need to address this issue.

Was the same as the last public test, long load times if I recall right. Then the patch at least for me loaded just fine

If I get the same map, sometimes i'll load up with 5 to spare or so.

 

If it's the first game of the day I usually load in with 19:15 left on the game clock. :/ Been since .4.0 and it's atrocious.

I load of an SSD, and it still takes longer than 30 seconds to get into a battle on Test Server... it's silly.

0.4.1 also introduced encryption to stop illegal mods (and datamining, as we found out).  Decrypting stuff takes time and resources, unfortunately.

I haven't even tried the PT, but the micro patch that dropped this week is causing the same problem for me.

 

Was fine before with the last patch, getting into matches with 20+ seconds to spare. Can't wait to see what 4.1 will bring.

they better not of disabled all mods because that would make the game unplayable for me. The ones i use are a brighter scope  semi transparent mini map fog and depth of field remover hate both those effects in any game i play. My skins i love but could live without. i also have one that makes rounds brighter so i can see them better on the tv as well. and new icons and ribbons that are bigger and easier to read on a tv  some of these are crucial to my game and when i first found this game back in cbt watched all the you tubers i was excited got in day one of obt knew mods were supported i cheered knowing the game will be adjustable to work well on my tv since thats my pcs monitor. If these mods are removed and disabled then i shall take my money elsewhere until that is restored because when you allow something you can not just take it away and expect to keep all your customers. Not to mention the skin to make the flags on the ships historically accurate as a history buff seeing a modern Japanese flag on a 1942 battleship irks me in that nerdy way lol. WHY does the first good naval game since battle stations have to suddenly have all these rumors that something key to the game could be gone and that would just be tragic
