I've been away for a while and have some questions

i only got a few games in after CBT ended because work/family shenanigans pulled me away.   I'm looking to get back on but was wondering what to grind now. I thoroughly enjoyed US BBs (after the NY) and IJN cruisers.   Are they still in a playable state?  Also, any major new developments with Torps or HE/AP?    Any help at all is appreciated.   Thanks in advance.

Don't know about the USN BB's, but from what I've heard they're still pretty good. IJN cruiser line in 4.0 has a speedbump at the Furutaka, but that's getting fixed in 4.1, and the Myoko's getting some nerfs but I'm not sure how/if devastating.

Furutaka won't be fixed, it'll still be sub-par.

The Furutaka is getting some changes for the better. It doesn't change the fact that it is a different playstyle as compared to the ships before it though. Try to play it like a Kuma, and you will be quite disappointed

Grinding is much harder if you don't have premium after tier 8. You have to be above consistent to make money/earn more than repair upkeep. I believe they did this to make sure we all grind multiple classes of ships. Otherwise mostly the same, you might see some German ships, no more Kitakami, and you will still be frustrated by HE spam. lol. Best of luck to you!

Thanks.   I assumed grinding would be worse because of no mas CBT.   I am looking forward to giving ze Germans a shot when they come out.
