Tier 8 CV AA near non-existent?

Or is it just the Shokaku? Because even fully upgraded, the AA is nearly non-existent.

Are you focus-firing your AA at enemy planes coming in? (select 1, click over enemy squadron). Also, with a 3km close-range AA radius don't expect to do much on planes that are already set on an attack run.

Also, you kinda need to expect that kind of AA performance for the rest of the IJN line... the AA doesn't get better. Just an added 0.5km range from the triple 25mm being replaced with dual 40mm mounts.

You dont get 2 sets of bofors like the USN so it appears (and is) weaker

Shokaku's AA range is way too short(3.0km) and faces fast and durable planes. You  have to count on your fighters. Lexington's AA though is very strong so it is just Shokaku.

Shokaku has the worst AA in the entire IJN CV line and at tier 8 it makes little sense.
