I heard the first hull is a bit of a grind i am 500 thousand credits from buying her but before then i would like some tips.  Even with my history knowledge we never really touched on the fuso so i am not sure what her strengths and weaknesses are and would like to know how best to use her,

her guns are great, mobility pretty good, range is meh, and your AA is poor. Coming from a USN and future DKM BB driver.

Also IJN ships get more HP than USN but ya'know :sceptic: Hope this helps a little :)

i will get into the usn bbs soon since as a history lover i like the north Carolina and the new York as well as the Iowa and Colorado, But so the aa sucks compared to my current kongo with how rampant manual drop is that could suck. range is 12 k to begin with i can handle that just have to be a brawler more than a sniper like the kongo. Fuso is a dreadnought while kongo was a battle cruiser

Ah, how fitting, I just finished fully upgrading my Fuso, and now all I need is XP to unlock Nagato!

Stock Fuso has pretty bad range, but it gets better pretty quick.

I focused on getting the hull upgrade first, which improved everything, especially main battery range, and AA strength.

The biggest thing to remember playing it is that you are no longer the fast and maneuverable Kongou that you once were. It's a lot harder to avoid torpedo bombers, and believe me, ever since I got Fuso, I've been a magnet for them.

In terms of firepower, having four extra 14cm guns makes a huge change in firepower. One well place barrage can easily cripple even the strongest of enemy ships, so it's important to make every salvo count! I personally like to fire all my cannons at the same time, but you could also fire them with a few seconds in between for longer sustainable damage. Also, remember to keep turning, especially after firing a full broadside, for two reasons. One, so that you don't get torpedoes coming at you. and Two, since you will be fighting mostly other BBs, you'll want to angle your armour anyway so that it's more favourable to you when your opponents fires their salvo.

After the pagoda mast, whichever you choose next is really up to you. Of course, you could just go for the improved mobility before the upgrade, but, I just felt getting the modernization was way better.

That's about all I can say. I haven't played much of the high tier BBs since Closed Beta ended, but I hope it helps. Good luck and happy hunting! :honoring:
