both are toxic to tanks and will be even worse in ships. be nice if they banned all mods and lock the files so you cant edit them

xvm has its uses that are helpful (when not used by d***heads for shaming) such as recruiting and knowing who to rely on in matches. WP is just bad for the game lol

Which would mean that even ship skins would be impossible to mod in. While I disagree with XVM coming to WoWS, the rest the mods here are perfectly fine and should stay, IMO.

XVM has it's uses, though W/R isn't a huge factor in warships, it may be for 'ranked play' to see how many stars people have (which will still be luck based on the team you get). Warpack is toxic.

Depends on what you use XVM for. Most use to bash, name call and try to shame and be all elitist to anyone they feel is below them. I like it as a tool to help me figure out if I'm improving or hit a plateau. Warpack is just a cheat and doesn't belong in any game.

Warpack is not as bad as XVM.

"Well why is that, Kitty? WarPack allows you to cheat!!!111!1"

You're right, voice in my head, but how many times where you called a 800 WN8 Skrub by a enemy Heavy Tank who died first? How many times have you seen the cries of players who say 'GG' because the win chance was below 50%? XVM is a cancer that almost every troll can get ahold of. Not very many trolls are willing to spend money to cause problems on an online video game. XVM is a cancer. It can be helpful to the player in some ways, but I consider it worse than WarPack for what a troll can do with it.

These people exists as long as stats are visible... I've already seen them on the forums. Where i would like to have XVM is when I have a destroyer lingering near me, I can see what is the likely chances of him torping me via intentional or accidental.

The effects of both on WG games are overblown by baddies, and neither one is a real problem.

Thanks for proving my point :)

When I was playing WOT that's all there was, d-heads. "This team is terrible, we're gonna lose."

All the time.

I only used XVM to tell people they were bad when they were raging at me for not helping them die.  I would never tell anyone just randomly they sucked, unless they earn it with bad behavior in game chat.

XVM has it's use but unfortunately people like that RELIC troll up there turned it into a my schlong is bigger than yours in this game type of measurement, and that itself causes issues with player retention.

Last week I had some dude in this game call me a "scrub" .. I laughed, and looked up his stats after, and he was running at 600XP Avg per game... and I thought, wow, tossing the term "scrub" out to someone when you yourself would land in that category was pretty funny... sad, if I sucked real bad at something I think I'd know, and wouldn't call others bad, but maybe that's their defense mechanism to it.

As for mods.  Ban them all.  I don't want to play a game against others using mods I don't have.  I long suspected the warpack stuff was being used in competitive battles by the large clans in WoT, and I feel that's unfair. Lock the game from mods so *I* know who I'm playing against see's the same interface.

SO much this.

I love how many bad players are so quick to use warpack as a reason they died instead of their own bad play/ignorance of the game mechanics. Out of over 27,000 battles I have yet to see someone using a blatant hack in WOT. The worst I ever saw was people using the tree down mod. XVM is more useful than harmful. My only issue with it is being targeted by arties because of my stats no matter what tank I am driving. But I would still get that a lot of times because of my clan tag too.

I happen to be in that community and you don't see me doing it. You have to realize that RELIC has over 300 members in our community and like most people they all have their own personalities.

IT'S A GAME, NOT YOUR JOB!!!!  Get over yourself and the guy who obviously touched a nerve.  Not to be an a$$h@t Zen guy, but live your own life to your own expectations.  No one's words can affect you unless you let them.

I'm pretty sure WarPack has cheats in it vs XVM that does nothing wrong. So I don't know why the question is being asked at all.

Plus XVM has a lot of nice features even if you don't use the in game stats. UI improvements and such.

Well, XVM is for the most part a stat mod... Yes, you see more *edited*bags complaining at the beginning of each match about how the odds are not in their favor and tomato this tomato that. But other than that, I see no significant advantage that would deem game breaking... Perhaps the extra zoom out but even that's not too bad. Personally on WoT, I only use for the minimap indicator circles for the viewrange and stuff...

I prefer dealing with XVM.

If somebody is giving advice, I like to know if I can count on the advice as being solid.  Too many people like to talk out their rear or pretend they know something when honestly they know jack diddly.
