I've enjoyed tactical and strategic games since Atari and Commodore 64 were the rage. I really miss the old Strategic Simulations offerings. The best naval game I managed was the old submarine simulation of Silent Service. However the overall experience I've had through the years up to today's mega-simulations has been positive. I'm not the greatest at using computers or even at gaming, but I enjoy a couple of hours break from reality by focusing on staying alive for the contest's duration and seeing how much I can improve my game play with various machines and settings.

 

I learned of Warships from playing Tanks and Warplanes. In Tanks I've found I do much better with Tank Destroyers and sniping from cover. Warplanes, I've not done well in because I can't control the plane well using the keyboard and mouse. I'm learning the nuances of various low end DDs, CCs, and BBs as I'm so new to this format. I'm not sure if I'll try an aircraft carrier yet or not.

I play nothing but BB's and all i can say is, "point, click, 4x citadel hits"

Sherman255, since you favor battleships would you mind telling me your opinion of my suggestion about making BB 48 a premium vessel? I posted an argument for it in the Battleships section of the Discussions about Warships.
