What to do about intentional tk'ers??

so this guy team killed me in a match and laughed after doing it saying it was for me, being a loud mouth.  Now all I had typed the whole match was I hope this round goes better then last, let's push b and c, and a hahahaha when I one-shot detonated a ships magazines..this guy proceeded to pound me with expletives and talked about how he's going to tk me on site.  For what? How is this allowed to go unpunished other than a few credits deducted???

there is an in-game report function. use that, and take screen-shots to submit to support. if theyre proud or taunting let them use their own words to hang themselves with. whatever you do, dont get hot-headed and fall into their trap. you can turn pink yourself for damaging/killing them (system doesnt work like tanks) or they could report you for taunting/insulting back and get you in trouble.

 

ive done this a few times now and support 'took action' (although they wont say what it was...). if enough players do this theyll get banned.

Report him with a screenshot if possible and dont take it personally. There are a lot of A holes with issues.

As to your original question.

WG has this thing where it costs the TK'er a bunch but you only get a percentage of that. Most times not even enough to cover repair costs.

Torps are the worst. I got hit with 2 last night by a ret*** that shot from behind a DD and myself. The DD took 1 and I took 2. My "compensation" was all of 6 (SIX) silver, for 3/4 of my health. Or how about the ret**** that torp's my "gold" ship 1 min in to the game, kills me. That time I got the total repair costs but he gets off free, other then the cost in silver,

I can see mistakes, hell I've shot torps and a friendly DD comes screaming across to get hit by them, when he was running the other way when I shot. But 1 min in to the game?

 

I understand WG has a problem. The question is how do you program the system to recognize "intentional" vs. "accidental"?

 

At the least the "compensation" should cover the repair costs at the MINIMUM.

 

There is a post about a dirt bag that goes around tk'ing "gold" ships. Just because. If he does it right he'll never get caught with the current system.

 

So maybe the system should be "they" get slapped with double the cost of "your" repairs and you get the actual costs.

They are using the same system they use in WOT, namely it's "automated". That includes both TK damage AND Chat violations,

That is what the whole "report" function is about.

players do get banned, ive seen them on WoT forums trying to get back in good graces to play again. the system is not perfect, nor will it ever be, but its something. if its too strict nothing would ever happen, too loose and unintentional TKers get banned with the intentional ones.

 

beyond the in-game auto function, reporting to support does get results despite your dismissive attitude on the whole thing.

That's what I mean, he gets right next to my ship and torps and sinks me, laughing the whole time, and essentially goes unpunished meanwhile I'm out of the round and couldn't even retaliate if I wanted to...very very broken

If nobody reports him, he will continue to do it.

 

If enough report him, he will eventually get a ban.   Assuming he is skirting the automatic system.
