the Games economics have been changed so much that it takes forever to make enough in game credits to purchase a ship..i dont have 12 hours a day to play this game. So after my subscription is over i wont be buying another nor will i play because i cant imagine how bad it would be for a FTP to make enough credits to purchase a ship...this is a shame too because i was one of the first beta testers and the game had alot pf potential to be a GREAT game but greed has reared its ugly head and we are being forced to Buy ingame Dabloons to make credits and or XP....I quit playing Wot and uninstalled i will doing the same with WOW ..

I have not had one single battle no matter how bad I played that even came close to losing credits.  It is extremely easy to make credits in this game.  Also the game would be no fun at all if you could get to tier 10 as easily as you could on CBT.  The exp between ship tiers is about the same as WoT.

And that is too bad you feel that way being as your an original tester, Perhaps maybe more patience is needed on your part, Meaning, I am too am unable to sit and play the game for extend amounts of time and yet I manage to to get my planes flown and ships off to battle I am working on tier 5-6 planes with 2 accounts and tier4-5 ships with two accounts not going to name them but I have this Dawg and there is one more But it does take some time.

Hey now we shouldn't be so brash as to brush them off. Maybe they are having a bad day. Offer some encouragement.

 And you sir are a liar! It would be hella fun to get into a tier 10 right off the bat however a few minutes into the match and I am sure I would be blasted out of the seas so at that point it may suck for me and my team. But seriously I don't think people should be able to rush up the ladder so fast and don't mind the bit of a grind. 

 

To the OP you really don't need 12 hours a day mate. Just some time and patience. You will get there just not as fast as those that spend more time. That isn't a bad thing. You will have a ton of experience going into the next tier each time that others would not.

I think the 25 doubloons is a bit steep for removing upgrades...

I Joined WOWS today and when I go to the port, the game wants me to buy doubloons. The game is advertised as free. How do I get doubloons to start????

I am not taking shots at anyone but do people ever stop and think. These games have people that need to make a living, some may have a wife and kids, house payment, car, ect.  would you work for free. No money no game.  T5 ships are great xp makers used them to upgrade the NC, It's not how fast you get there it's are you having fun playing the game?. Hope you stick with it.

No it does not.

When you come in for the first time, you have Tier I ships in port. Those are free. As long as you have empty port slots, you can grind through the tier to get enough credits and XP to continue on to the next tier.

 

Once you run out of port slots, you need to buy more at 200 doubloons each. Then it is not free anymore, but as the previous poster said, the company has to ,make money to develop and support the game. You can play free forever if you want to stay at a low tier.

It is free. I don't recall that ever being a requirement.

You can always sell ships to free up port slots. I no longer have my tier one ships.

Technically because they are releasing the game without a wipe of stats, (soft-release) you are currently playing the actual economy that will be in the final release version. In which they want to keep the consumer long enough to extract something from them. Also, in the CBT the credit and XP earnings were increased to get people playing every tier in a short amount of time they had the CBT out (and Alpha for that matter). Also, you don't need a subscription to play, the "Premium Account" only increases your credit and XP earnings but is totally not needed to get all the ships in the game providing you don't care about playing more battles. The time it takes to get to a Tier X in WoWS is the same as WoT, the world's #1 Free-to-Play in active players so nothing really special about the time requirements. (this is due to WoWS having higher XP/credits per match and longer match times yet higher XP/credits for a ship of the same tier). Where as most people get by with 650+XP or so a match in WoWS, they would get near 375+ in WoT; however, a Tier V for example requires gaining 10,000 less XP in WoT.

This, however, is a real problem, it should be 10 gold(doubloons) to remove upgrades, not 25.
