I'm a noob, still don't have my sea legs yet, so need to ask some questions. What upgrades should i purchase for the Cleveland? Of the four upgrade slots availible what order should I purchase them in? Thanks!

Also train your commander in the AA skills and the Basic and Advanced Firing training as they will increase the load time and range out to 17km when fully trained and ship fully upgarded. I've the same question as the OP but I think you've got two options for 3rd and 4th slot that are in fact both 4th slot. The damage control one for slot 3 reduces the chance of fire and flooding by 3 and 5% and the steering option reduces the chance of a critical hit breaking the steering in slot 3. I took the steering upgrade in slot 3 and am trying to decide between the steering mod for slot 4 that reduces rudder turn time by 20% v the damage control one that reduces flood recovery and fire recovery by 15%? I chose the rudder upgrade as I find dodging shells in the Cleveland life or death. But I chose all possible AA upgrades as it is very good at shooting down planes. Here is an example: It is very good at escorting BB's and CV's and keeping your biggest and most important ships alive and safe from enemy planes.

What ship were you supporting whilst sporting a whopping 152 target hits and 42 plane kills? a BB?

Actually yes. I was escorting 2 North Carolina's and a New Mexico as I was tossed into a tier 9 match. There were 2 enemy carriers, one tier 7 and one tier 8. They just kept sending wave after wave trying to kill the North Carolina and I just waited til it got thick and would hit my "T" button for enhanced AA. So I just sailed with the BB fleet and shot at what they did that was within my range. I got a kill on an enemy North Carolina I believe as well, which with a tier 6 cruiser isn't bad right?
