Is this pile of garbage based oFF your current ships win rate?  or your overall win rate, to decide whether it wants to place you with a losing team or winning team, stats wise?

Cause i heard thats what the MM calculations do.

100% win rate last night.   2 games,  rocked with the cleveland.    6 games later for a total of 8, and not a single win.  25% win rate in it now. lol.

just curious how it works exactly....cause despite being in top 4 everygame, and averaging 800+ xp.  I can't win in this ship today.  so was curious how it works.

No one can really say for sure except the DEVS.

it looks at the players in the queue and tries to put teams together. each ship has a 'weight' used to balance the teams, and teams total weight is supposed to be within a certain percentage of one another.

it does not use any sort of skill or WR input, this is up to chance and is essentially random. the natural result of this random outcome is streaks which even out with many battles.

a six game win or loss streak is not at all abnormal, especially when you consider that most players are still pretty new and tend to die fast without doing much. sometimes theyre on your team, other times theyre on the other team. its all up to chance.

I was hoping it would be inline with the WoT MM that kept things at a 2 tier spread, IE tier 6 can see anything between Tier 4-8.

I found it doesn't work that way because my tier 6 cruiser is seeing tier 9 ships.

+/-3 right now, for hte same reason WoT was for the longest time. As soon as the population builds, it will go +/-2.

Well, that's due to limited numbers of high tier accounts in this early stage.

If 8 losses took tour WR in the Cleveland from something decent to 25%, you've got few enough games in it that luck (bad in your case) is going to be a factor.

Heck, with that few games, WR is meaningless anyway. You need minimum 100 games in a ship for stats to stabilise and have meaning.

I think your mostly right,  but there is more to the skill end.    I think relative to your current stats there is a function within MM that tries to adjust for skill conditions push you up or down.

If there were no consideration for skill then it would be a total joke,  not that MM isn't there right now.

WG have in the past said that (in WOT) MM is also looking to place you in teams so that in the long run your WR is hovering around the server average. One thing I do know, some days you cant win for crap and other days you win alot. Is that random?

That is why good players always division up with other good players, same as tanks. That way when MM decides its your turn to lose, at least you know you have 2 other good players on your team.

If you complain about WG on the forums, you go to the penalty box, get flagged for terrible MM. If you grovel at their feet, you get Romper Room MM, and cookies.

Recent Win Rate is certainly taken into account and it looks like a ladder system is being looked at now.

All the people who think win rate is factored into mm also have tin foil hats at home. Use the chart that was posted above. Also, if you platoon, the highest teir ship that is brought is what is used to find a match. There are occasions mm will put you in a higher teir battle than you should be in if there are not enough players but typically when this happens the team with more high teir ships out of the battle tier the less the players. This is pretty uncommon but my Pensacola has fought a midway and 3 Des Moines and my team had like 8 players. Again pretty much use the chart as how mm will work.

If mm factored in wr then unicorns would not exist in this game, yet they still do. People like to look at statistics with a small pool but the larger the data pool the more accurate the stats are. I can go to the casino for two weeks straight on one machine with the same bet and finish with a profit but if I stay on it all year I can have completely different results, specially seeing as the casino needs to see a net gain. So many factors can go into a win streak or losing streak that they don't even have to throw in anything to account for wr.  Take wot for example. More noobs play on weekends than weekdays. If you use a tank that can carry the team more or club seals then you can take advantage of that and have a really high wr on weekends. That being said if you are grinding a tank that is team dependant on the weekend your wr is going to plummet compared to the week days.

The last couple days I've seen most of my matches have been fairly lopsided with nearly all of the highest tier ships on one team, almost always the other team. The other team getting one, maybe two same tier but always at least half the number the other teams gets and always the higher tier CV.

I was in a tier XI fight last night with my Cleveland. Needless to say I felt very small. I have to admit though it was fun but not nearly as productive as playing a few tiers lower. Higher tiers burn as well as lower tiers.....you just have to be very careful how you get into range. I also have to say that so far these matches are few and far between for me.

Either that or they've read WG's patent on rigged matchmaking.

Get used to it.  The MM will give you a run with the carrier/ship advantage for a while then after a while you'll get the exact opposite.  Then rinse and repeat.

Is it purposefully rigged to be this way?  Who knows.  Only those with access to the game code can know for sure.
