0.4.1 Small bits of information found on RU forums

Hello all,

 

Some news about the upcoming patch 0.4.1 found in RU forums:

 

1. Furukata will be buffed (Turret rotation speed, dispersion, rudder shift time and torpedos);

2. Yubari will be buffed.

3. Extra information about ship data will be displayed in-port;

4. Improved fighters gameplay (reduce excessive differences between fighters combat effectiveness tier by tier);

5. The effects of smoke screen will be improved from the perspective of the smoke screen creator;

6. BB's dispersion at short ranges (< 5 km) will be decreased (improved);

7. MM balance (same number of CV's and similar of other ships classes and tiers) will be improved;

8. Map edge surfing penalty (not sure exactly what it seems the ships will stop or at least dramatically reduce speed when hitting map edges);

9. US DD's will be buffed (some torpedo love from what I understand, maybe range and damage);

10. Ships visibility re-calculation. Ships without observation superstructures/pagoda masts will have visibility slighlty reduced;

11. Player ladder system/personal rating introduction.

(also yay for furutaka. sad it wont get its historical load out. but the buffs listed seem worthwhile. will probably rebuy it if its enough)

and I just spent 250,000 credits in the hope that my Yubari could maybe take more then 2 hits before it's engine got knocked out .... but I'm still happy to hear it!

Wow! This is amazing!  I just got my Furutaka last week and have enjoyed every bit of it despite some of its short comings, and now they are going to make it better!?!?!?!

Why do you never have a source? It should be pretty easy to link the posts you get the info from. Takes all of like 5 seconds per link.

What exactly does #4 even mean? Really need some info on this are they just adding to it, changing some stats, or redoing the entire system?

May be fighters will be able to strafe targets on the ground...or get small bombs and rockets.  Or XP for scouting...or or or.

More like <4-4.5km

 

Hitting the map edge will be similar to hitting terrain. Instant stop.

 

AFAIK, USN DDs will get a smoke buff, and some AA-related ability.

I hope they don't buff USN DDs too much.

 

The only way USN DDs would be too OP is if they were never spotted. Smoke doesn't stay forever, it got over nerfed due to baBBies crying about how they couldn't see through our smoke. Which they could shoot at the white column of smoke that shows up in the cloud.

AFAIK, USN DDs will get a smoke buff, and some AA-related ability.

 

Buffing the DD smoke back up is badly needed. The idea of an AA perk over a buff to torpedoes for US DDs makes a lot of sense in that it keeps them unique from the IJN but also has some historical basis looking back at DD pickets (kamikaze punching bags) from the late Pacific war.

I hope you meant improve IJN FT. US FT are good enough already unless you fight a higher tier US CV.
