Denial: "Wow, I just got my [edited]handed to me again- I just need to learn more about how to play BBs and I'm sure it'll get better. I'll go read some articles on the forums and watch a few videos!"

 

Anger: "GAH! I'm doing everything right! I'm not sailing in straight lines- I'm keeping distance between myself and cruisers so I have time to avoid their salvos. I've got every piece of fire prevention available. I'm trying to stay close to cruisers for AA support and- GRAGH! THERE'S ANOTHER BUNCH OF TORPEDO BOMBERS! AND I'M ON FIRE AGAIN! AND THAT'S THE THIRD TIME I'VE BRACKETED THAT CLEVELAND WITHOUT LANDING A SINGLE HIT! @#$% THIS!"

 

Bargaining: "I just wrote a great post on the forums on how WG could balance BBs in a way that makes them fun to play, gives them a roll to fulfill within a team and doesn't make them overpowered. Surely such a nuanced and carefully researched article will get their attention and change will happen!"

 

Despair: "I soft-counter other battleships. I'm hard-countered by everything else. That's just the way things are and how they're going to be."

 

Acceptance: "Holy crap. Cruisers are AMAZING!"

smh... this is so wrong.... I mean I get the idea that situational awareness will help mitigate the damage... most of the time... but as a blanket statement that is just facepalm....

What's the stage where they realize they can kill cruisers in 1~2 salvos and top the damage charts? :D

when torpedos drop less than 50 feet from your hull sure kongo is nimble but i am not magic. when i see planes coming i move towards them to avoid as many as i can but 2 tb squads i will get nailed by 2 or 3 or 1 if i am super lucky because of the low distance of warning and how ineffective aa is atm.

against a single torp squad, the most amount of hits a competent BB should take is 1or2. anymore than that, and the BB player either tunnel visioned, or is just bad.

against an anvil attack the BB is going to take more hits, and you can't really stop it, but the thing is:

You shouldn't be able to negate all of it's torps, unless the CV player is trash.

Pretty much, either he hasn't played it recently (most likely) hasn't played low-tier BBs at all lately (very likely)

 

And seems to have not realized that the Kongo has a 27 second Rudder shift time and lacks the rudder-shift mod to reduce that.

 

Which is one of the many reasons why I am looking forward to the Fuso. 17 second shift time -and- a mod to make it turn better than an out of control bus.

PS: The only 'hard' part of hitting a Fuso even with a Langley TBs is adjusting for the 30knot speed, your turn rate simply isn't good enough to bother manual drops.

is that why all I have been playing is BB? I haven't touched my Atago in a week, it's been nothing but BB games, and lower tier BB are meaningless, they don't matter, the tiers that matter are tier 5+, WG just doesn't care about tier 1-4, they are the beginner tiers.

Fact: I do 14.5k more per battle than you do in the Kongo.

Fact: My hit rate is higher than yours (4% higher)

Fact: My Highest Stats in this ship are over 20k more than you have touched.

Fact: I sink more ships per game, and more aircraft per game than you do. (1.33 to .75, and 1.23 to 1.19 I'll call the Aircraft a tie if you'd like)

Fact:  The ONLY thing your 'kongo' stats are superior to mine is in Base Capture (while my Base Defense is more than -double- what you have achieved) and Win rate.

 

 

Thanks for adding how Luck plays into your WR, you and your kongo are objectively inferior to me in mine. How about you actually go read the entire performance chart, before hand Sunshine.

That's a hilariously dumb thing to say and is extremely condescending to an enemy carrier player's skill.  You're an easy kill in your BB for anyone who knows what they're doing, plain and simple.  

 

You've barely played in the open beta to be able to comment on anything to do with stats, as well.

If they drop that close they don't detonate. The idea is to turn before the drop.

WR doesn't lie. But it can mis-lead.

But the rest of your stats blow massive fail next to mine.

 

Hell, you don't even do enough damage to sink a BB of your tier per game.

Nice time Pleb.

 

But The reality is the one number that -doesn't- lie as WR is team-dependent, is this.

 

Damage per Battle and Hit rate for BBs will dictate who is better more than any other stat. 

 

Just ask anyone but yourself.

 

 

 The idea is to turn before the drop.

 The problem is you can't keep up with the plane circling around you with the turn radius of the Kongo, even when you do this. Then if you have more than 1 flight of TBS (also common) your going to get hit.

 

Will it generally sink you outright? No, but fighting the rest of their team without 2/3s of your HP is a bit a stinker.
