21 [TOSE] LordSunhawk Members 47 posts 1,622 battles Report post #1 Posted July 22, 2015 In the last 24 hours the game has become completely unplayable, I'm about 4-6 seconds out of sync with the server, even though my ping is under 25 ms and I am showing no latency or lag. When I am trying to play my Wickes, I will enter a match, the loading screen will run as normal, I'll load in as normal and everything will appear fine as the countdown timer goes down, but at between 4 and 6 seconds left on the timer it will vanish and I'm 'live', I get no 'general quarters' or other announcement, from there on in there is a 4 to 6 second gap between when I input a command and the game responds although it is not consistent, throttling up works fine (it appears) but if I turn my rudder to full and then release it, the rudder indicator shifts to full and back, but the ship continues straight ahead for another 4 to 6 seconds, then turns for the amount of time I held the rudder, then straightens on the new course. If I sequence rudder commands during that gap they'll be followed sequentially, but at a 4 to 6 second offset. Likewise when I am firing at an enemy, I will visually see my shells connecting, but get no hit messages, then when the ship is sunk by another player, or I am sunk, the target is significantly offset from where I was shooting, again due to the 4-6 second sync offset. How can I fix this? I am running a 100 meg cable connection and the connection is healthy, other online games do not experience this out of sync situation and I am able to stream music via shoutcast for my online DJing gig. It was fixed by going to the SSD wizard (Samsung) and having it optimize or repair the SSD. Claimed it totally fixed the desynch that had mysteriously popped up. I keep my HD optimized and defragged and I have only on a certain specific circumstance had issues with desynch. Don't know any more than that.
25 NolaMike Members 211 posts 11,803 battles Report post #6 Posted July 23, 2015 Mine is intermittent. Maybe server load and distance? I'm in Houston. Doubt seriously it's the SSD. Ping is 35ms. I have a very fast connection otherwise. What happens is that suddenly in a battle, the screen becomes jerky and ships move around suddenly. Submitted a ticket last night attaching a replay of the problem last night. Tonight was worse.

High frame rate and decent ping...game sound is also breaks up when I fire...frustrating...... I also get the sound garbling. Goto ingame setting and turn down some of the sound setting a little bit. It does not cure it, but it helps alot! Edited July 26, 2015 by Lollipops
4 EMPIRE35 Members 43 posts 163 battles Report post #10 Posted July 29, 2015 Desync for me is an issue 100% of the time. Tried reinstalling, and that did nothing. I'm going to try defragging the HD tomorrow and see what happens.
4 EMPIRE35 Members 43 posts 163 battles Report post #11 Posted July 29, 2015 I can confirm that defragging does nothing for the desync. It's still just as bad.
