I agree, no lopsided CV teams

Add my voice to the frustrated crowd saying that 1 CV should not have to face 2 CVs.

 

Are we not at a point in quantity of playerbase now where this can be controlled? 1 vs 1, or 2 vs 2, no 1 vs 2.

 

Your first cruise on a Bogue as only CV on your team shouldn't be vs a Bogue AND a Zuiho. Skill and playing smart and hard only goes so far. I can't have 1 fighter squadron handle 3 enemy fighter squadrons, let alone protect my TBs.

 

Not a "whine" this is a genuine issue. The only time this is not a problem is if 1 or both of the enemy CVs is skippered by an idiot. That's not something to count on.

What matchmaker could do to be completely better would be to matchmake 2 carriers alone, i.e. even tiers. Then matchmake an 11v11 of BBCADD as evenly possible. Then combine those two.

I would like to see MM take into account number of CV and there tier. It would make playing some of the other loadouts more fun and would stop matches like this.

What they need to do is limit 1 cv per side. 1 cv 4 bb and fill in the rest.

I just got my first carrier, the Langley, and have been doing pretty well. I then got matched up against a team with only one carrier per group, but they had the next tier carrier (Bogue). There's literally nothing you can do but hide and hope his strictly better fighters don't find you. You can't example out skill another player's fighters like you can against higher tier ships.

I feel ya. When I'm in my CV in a 1 vs 2, I default to ONLY protecting friendly ships. trying to go on the attack is no bueno.

It depends on the skill of the various ship captains. It's not all decided by CVs.

 

I've had MM put me 1v2 CV 4x in a row. I sunk both enemy CVs each game and won.

 

I've also been on the side with no CV plenty of times, and won also.

 

Same with being out-tiered in CVs and other ships.

 

Couple of examples:

 

Hiryu vs Independence & Ranger.

 

 

 

Stock Kuma + no CV + vs high tier CV + Chester waste of space + vs 3x Cleveland

A team with more or higher tier BBs is not a deciding factor, why should it be with CVs?

 

Having the MM balance CV numbers and tiers merely masks what seems to be a CV balance issue. Heck having a class of ships that auto one-shot any ship would not be balanced, even if the MM made sure teams were balanced by putting equal numbers on each team.
