World of warships is my favorite game as off post closed beta test. As of now i think its really boring and feels repetitive and one reason why i say this is because post closed beta test you could experience new things and ships and it would still be fun and rewarding and you could do it in a reasonable time now its kinda stupid how long it takes to unlock a new ship. Take this for example in the closed beta test you could unlock a tier 10 with around 120000 around 130000 exp now a tier 8 cost just a tier 8 cost about the same as a tier 10.This to me makes it long a boring playing the same [edited]ship for over a week wthand that's not all there's more bull now ships credit wise cost almost 4 times as much.Thats not it i have premium and i do good in my  games averaging 34 thousand damage a game pretty good and i still get under 1000 exp. In my opinion it makes it too much like world of tanks and other wargameing games when i got into cbt i thought it was going to be different and more fun but nope same crap.Dont hate its just my opinion on all off this and i think its kinda boring now.

You expected a wargaming game to be different than wargaming games....  what are you driving g to average 34k a game?

The reason the progression during closed beta was faster was because it gave more chances to test out the higher tier ships. Now that it's almost a proper game, they've changed the progression scale to be closer to  wargaming's other titles  to match them. I understand that it takes a long time to go down the lines and that it takes a lot of dedication. To make it more enjoyable, join a clan or play with friends.

Yeah, progression is always boosted during Betas in all games.

But once in the open, they have to slow things down so that the game starts making some real money, by people who want to do things faster and pay for it. It is how the Free to play model works.

Truth be told thought, if it becomes as bad as tanks I am not sure what I will do..maybe switch for another Naval combat game even for one with Sailing Ships...and play this slowly like tanks, it took me 1 year to go from T VIII to tier IX in tanks, and I still have no tier X after 3 years.

We shall see, personally I think the crowd for Wows is a bit different, I see many new players too, not everyone is from WoT, so I am not sure how well the WG progression approach will be received.

the trend in MMO's overall is for Faster progressions or no Progression at all (EQ eliminating Levels, CrowFall going Skills and Unattended Progression like EVE Online etc) so really away from too much repetition.

Having said this, I do like Naval combat more so than other types so just because it is fun to me it may also not seem like a grind or repetitious anyways.

But I can definitely relate and understand how it feels to you since you went to beta with faster progression. In a way this is why I am somehow glad to not have been randomly selected for Alpha/Beta. I been in your position before and it is it not always nice.

My suggestion is to take a break for 2-4 weeks form the game. And come back to it refreshed if still passionate about it and consider that you play it like any of the new players with the new progression. I really do not think they will change it unless there it like 1000 people playing the game after a couple of months...it is all about what the stats show and reports etc.

Cheers!

honestly, I don't think people should be happy with playing 200-300 matches each match as long as 15-30 min just to get to tier 10 of ONE LINE

so basically you never played the game OR you literally try playing every tree. there is NO reason a single t8 to 9 took you a year when the path to t8 is (probably) longer than t8-9
