Last night I played in this match that was a battle royal of old. I used all of my smokes in the match. I was about 3 seconds away from getting my guns for the final shot on the 2'nd South Carolina for a KO when he raked me with his HE salvo and killed me. Drat! However, the team came through and the battled ended in victory. The enemy team played very good and so did my team. I wished I could still be alive, but I was happy with the battle results. This is what I got from the match. She may not be a gun fighter, but good lord is she fun to play. Arguably better than Gremy in my opinion. I have played the Minekaze. Gremlin has stealthier torps better guns with longer range. Only thing the Minekaze has is higher concealment. If it uses the 10km torps they are slow as sin. If they use the 7km torps while faster, requires the Minekaze to dance on observation range. You have less than a kilometer to work with on the Gremy while the Minekaze has I think 1.1 Kilometers to work with while using the stock torps. Also the Minekaze can get a whole lot closer to its target before it's spotted making hits easier. I think while stealthed and using torpedoes Minekaze wins. Gremy wins hands down on guns, but then again I never fire my guns on Minekaze so it's a bit of a moot point. Both are great ships but I think that Minekaze is superior.
