Why aren't some of the Best US ships of WWII in the game?

So I was wondering why some of the best US ships of WWII aren't in game. For instance USS Enterprise is not in game. It was the most decorated ship of the US in ww2. It survived WWII also. Another Ship that is but isn't in game is the USS Johnston. It is a Fletcher class destroyer. Maybe it should be a premium ship. Another US legend that isn't but is in game is the USS New Jersey. IT was the most decorated and best of the 3 Iowa Class Battleships. Maybe this should also be premium. The Enterprise should be the new tier x US CV or maybe tier 8-9. It would have great  health since it survived so so much attacks, good speed, and good planes. 1 Thing i found "interesting" is that the Montana is the Iowa lass one the the Montana Class Battleship. Maybe if it was changed to the Montana class BB it would be cooler.

The Yorktown-class will be added at a later date at tier 8, The Fletcher-class is already in the game, The Iowa-class is already in the game. 2/3 are already here and the other will be here when they create another USN CV line. There was never an Iowa-class Montana to my knowledge. The only two that were never built were the Illinois and Kentucky(yes i know they were renamed but still, not a Montana as an Iowa).

 

WG implements(in most cases for the tech tree, not premiums) ship classes, not individual ships. Which is why some ships don't look as expected as they are a mash-up of all ships in their class. Kongou-class for example looks more like the Hiei than the Kongou.

There where 4 Iowa's. The Jersey, Missouri, Iowa, and Wisconsin. But thats a minor gripe. I wouldnt worry to much about not seeing these ships yet as WG are still adding ships to the game. The may still be implemented, you just have to wait and see for the moment. I also fixed the neg that someone threw up here. There's no reason to be negged for asking a question. ^^

Montana is the T10 USN BB. Its already in the game.

Dude, you do realize the game JUST entered Open Beta right? Look how long it took WoT to get the Brits ( A major freaking combatant of WWI) into the game. Take a deep breath and enjoy the game.

Aren't there enough ships at the moment to entertain and keep you busy.

WG is smart in that they are going to release a little at a time to keep you interested. I am sure once we are all plowing thru the ocean with our tier 10's they will release a whole new group of ships.

Oh boy.  As folks have said, this is beta.  Just like in WoT if they modeled every possible ship before release we wouldn't get to touch the game till 2020 at the earliest.

 

I also think you have a bit of over fanboy-ism peaking out here.  I suggest paying better attention or reading up on what class each of these ships actually was before you claim they aren't in game.  We are not going to get a model of every single named ship the US made during WWII.  The Yorktown-class (yeah I always considered the Yorktown much more BA than the Enterprise personally) will be in the next CV tree they make.  The Johnston is a Fletcher...check the tree.  There is no reason to have a pair of the same class of ship in the default tree.  I don't know about a Johnston premium as the Fletcher is tier 9 and WG doesn't like tier 9 and 10 premiums, at least not for sale typically.  The Montana in game is a historical planned class of ship that was based on the Iowa sort of.  It's a Iowa with an extra rear turret.  Bit slower though.

 

The idea of Enterprise as a tier X makes me laugh.  The Midway and Essex both far outclass her.  I would expect an eventual Enterprise premium to come around, it may even come before the release of the next CV tree.  The ship is popular enough.

 

Calm down, enjoy the game, and use it as inspiration to delve deeper into history.

 

 

Edit:  BTW, History Channel specials are not the best things to look to in order to learn about history.  They tend to be...meh.
