A 1/1 Bogue vs 2 enemy carriers with a combined 3/3. I shot down 20 planes that round. That was it. I got virtually no experience. Their fighters made damn sure that my torpedo bombers couldn't even get nearly close enough to launch their torpedoes, so I was effectively useless the entire game. I did my best to provide air cover for my team, but as you can see, that failed miserably. There are other threads that say that fighters need to provide more XP. This is true. And I think that the early USN CVs need a boost to effectiveness, as well. 1/1 against a 1/2/1 or a 2/1/1 is just a recipe for disaster, and climbing the USN CV tree just plain hurts.
